Moving on from Bettys Beach after 4 days we ventured a little further (90km) Eastwards to Cape Riche, another Albany City Council campground with a full-time caretaker, toilets, cold showers, bins etc. and a $20/night fee. We managed to secure a waterfront spot although a bit tight with the bike handlebars between the trees! The camp area also has a public boat ramp and BBQ areas.

The old stone storehouse building at the end of the campground can be seen here from the beach as well and is a reminder of the days that Cape Riche was a Port and Beach Whaling Station; the last freighter carted wool from here in 1935 which was ferried out to the ship by barge.
The Moir family are still farming the area nearby.
