Crocodilus Park is one of two opportunities in the Darwin area to see Croc up close.
We arrived in time to see the Croc feeding and even got to handle a baby Croc, this one about a 1 year old apparently.
This Park was started in 1994, this quote from Wikipedia:
“Professor Grahame Webb, one of Australia’s world-known zoologists opened Crocodylus Park in 1994. Although it started as a crocodile research and education centre, it has now expanded to become the only zoo in the NT with exotic and native animals including big cats, birds, primates and other reptiles plus a museum.”
As it happens at the end of our visit Frances was buying some souvenirs when I was asked by a fellow standing near me where we were from and after striking up a conversation realised we were actually talking to Grahame Webb himself, a very interesting man at 73 and still very actively engaged in his work!
The pictures again will tell the story of a brief look around.
