Easter came and went and with it a mixture of campers and weather.  Thursday afternoon the first couple of Easter campers arrived and by late morning Friday we had been joined by around 5 or 6 groups, mostly locals from Chinchilla, Miles or Roma districts and most of them water skiers.  In total there were six ski boats and 2 jet skis and everyone was getting into the swing of things.  We had only a couple of other “travellers’ like us which was a little surprising.

The family group nearest to us were obviously some of the most experienced ski-ers with the two boys showing off by Sunday, ski-ing on a disk with a garden chair to sit on!

Another group had a large donga style caravan and run a sort of charity group teaching teenagers to water ski; they had a training pole on the side of their primary boat (they brought two) and were doing a great job with the kids that were with them.

The couple of fishermen had to mostly miss out due to the boats churning up the water too much.

Saturday afternoon and evening we had a thunderstorm so that brought things to a halt for a while but everything resumed Sunday and wound up Monday morning.  By early afternoon Monday we had only one group and the two fishermen left.  A little later a group of three caravans arrived who had just driven up from  Meandarra, our next destination.

Now all was calm again!
