With Frances already in England to visit sister Margaret, Keith stayed behind for Milton and Sue returning home a little later than epected and to see if we could get Tess’ leg operated on to repair the detached cruciate ligament. Unfortunately the surgery couldn’t be done and so Keith left on Thursday October 13 and arrived at Olivia’s in Brisbane on Friday lunchtime marking the end of our loop since leaving Brisbane in February.
I thought we would take a last look at the place before signing off on this trip. A short while ago we had Tess clipped as the weather warmed up so here is the “Before” and “After” look!
During the last house sitting period we had a failure of the dam pump system which supplies the water troughs for the steers. After talking to Milton on the phone the problem turned out to be that the steers, in crossing the end of the dam, had trodden on a join in the suction pipe and pushed it apart. After searching in the mud we finally found the ends and rejoined them.
