From our Perth base at the Crystal Brook Caravan Park we have access just across the road into the many walking trails along the hillside opposite; part of the Korung National Park there are some possible loop trails as well as the capability of climbing all the way up to the Lions Lookout (which we have not yet achieved!)
Wandering around the trails here was an out and back exploration of a few dead ends including a climb which was too wet to be a safe ascent with a slippery surface. The early wildflowers are beginning to appear and birdlife abounds although not easy to capture!
