T o get to our starting point for the Murray River at Indi Bridge it was the easiest to go via the Lake Hume, Tallangatta and Corryong. Having lived in the Huon Valley in Tasmania for 10 years we HAD to stop at the Huon Reserve!
…and what a great campsite! The views and the water are stunning both by day and at sunset.
The Reserve, like several others along the Lake sits on the Wodonga to Cudgewa Rail Trail which here crosses Sandy Creek as it turns Eastwards across the “foot” of Lake Hume.
This is a place you could stay for a while but the wind came up overnight and we decided to move on to our destination of indi Bridge after one night.
