Staying for only 2 nights we had a choice between a couple of local walks and picked the Lake walk which is also in walking distance from the Caravan Park making a total walk of around 6.5km. The other option is the Big Karri walk about 2km back towards the highway – maybe next time!
Karri Lake is the town water supply and is located at the northern end of the old township, the trail includes few section of fire trails but is mostly a single narrow path totally circling the Lake with varying views; much of the town population now lives along the Eastern and Southern sides of the Lake.
