March 9-14

We finally left Zoe’s on March 9th and headed to the Murwillumbah Showgrounds; partly to be able to catch up with Rob from Full Range Camping as there is quite a lot happening at the moment including finalisation of an App.
The Showgrounds here were re-opened for camping last year and FRC have done a lot to help publicize them.
They are certainly successful with over 40 vans there when we arrived; there is lots of room and the caretaker, Greg, is very welcoming and hoping to stay for a couple of years.
As a town Murwillumbah is very attractive, clean and tidy with riverfront parks and a good range of shopping and service businesses but only half an hour from the Tweed Coast.
The highway bypassing the town some years ago removed all the passing traffic and a lot of visitors; the Showgrounds camping with all regular facilities and $20/night is certainly attracting visitors back again.
