When we left Kalbarri we intended to break the almost 400km drive to Denham by stopping at the Billabong Roadhouse overnight, especially in view of having a strong Northerly head wind. Having got to Billabong for a refuel and lunch our fridge was misbehaving on gas and setting the gas alarm off so to make it easier to investigate we pushed on to Denham as the head wind had dropped and we could maintain a more comfortable cruising speed.
Denham has 3 caravan parks and we chose the Tasman Seaside park which is right at the beach at the end of town.
A very quiet little town before the peak season arrives it was quite surprising to see Emus crossing the street and wandering along the esplanade, in fact, we had to stop on the way in for a dad and his 3 chicks walking straight down the middle of the road.
Every night we were rewarded with just enough clouds for great sunsets:
