December 23, 2022, to March 2023
As previously mentioned a fellow member of our Sunland Caravan Owners group wanted a house sitter while they ventured to Tasmania and we had arranged to arrive at the house on December 23; they had a family friend house-sitting for the first 3 weeks but they had to leave and we took over. The house is close to the Bribie bridge and looks out across Welsby Parade onto Pumicestone Passage and across to Sandstone Point.
Previously we had visited Bribie a couple of times and Keith stayed at Woorim on the Eastern side for 2 weeks in June when Frances was in the UK so this was an opportunity to find our way around the island and settle in for 10 weeks or so. Only our second spell of not living in the caravan in 9 years the last being at our daughter Zoe’s when waiting for our Sunland to be built over Christmas in 2018 while they were in NZ.
We first ventured along the shoreline as far as you can go North and South of the bridge which each translates into a 5 to 6km return walk or ride all on a dual walking and cycle path.
