The Granites Walk is almost walking distance from the town and is also the location of Deadhorse Gully Campground, one of several in Sturt National Park.
Starting at the Campground the walk takes a clockwise loop of about 4km through a couple of gullies then over the ridge to emerge into diffeent landscape again and return to the Campground.
