Tully is very much a Sugar Mill town, as well as claiming, with Babinda, to be the wettest town in Australia. The Golden Gumboot commemorates the record rainfall of 7.9 metres of rain in 1950.
Internal stairs take you to the top for a view of the town and Mill.
Tully has a 48 hour RV Stop at the Showgrounds, this is free of charge but has only Water and a Dump Point; the toilets are not available to campers so you have to be self contained. This includes catching your grey Water and disposing of it in the Dump Point.
