Kurrimine Beach is another Council owned Caravan Park in this area which keeps the pricing at a reasonable level.  When we arrived there were no powered sites left exept very small ones so we opted for the unpowered section which we had almost to ourselves at $21/night and still with access to the amenities and water (although not connected to the van).

This Park is right at the beachfront with a high tide that comes almost to the foreshore trees and a low tide that goes out about 500m.  During May to August the community run Reef Walk days when you can walk out onto King Reef at low tide safely and apparently view huge Rays amongst other sealife.  This is also a turtle nesting beach.

Kurrimine Beach is described as a fishing village and has only a local servo with basic supplies, for normal shopping you have to go to Innisail or Tully.  Many of the locals do fish and the village claims to have the best collection of old working tractors anywhere; all used to put their boats in and out of the water at high ir low tide.
