Only a few kms from the Caravan park the Reserve is owned and managed by the Friends of the Porongorup Range , a local landcare group affiliated also with the Gondwana Link Project.

Just 500m from the entrance to the Reserve is one of the Gondwana Link Sculptures , this one showing the concentric circles of the geological eras. Here is the overview from the website:
“This striking sculpture set against the backdrop of the Porongurup and Stirling Ranges is the result of an innovative collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists and conservation groups.
The Twin Creeks sculpture is the first within a broader Genestreaming Sculpture Trail Program – a creative concept of Menang Elder Aunty Carol Pettersen and lead artist Ben Beeton. The project is developing similar sculptures throughout Australia to celebrate the importance of evolutionary processes, with ecological and cultural restoration working together.”

.. and so on to the Reserve itself ; there are multiple walking tracks marked on their mapboards although we found the scale is not accurate; however our walk as shown added up to 7 km exactly, you could easily walk 20km in here! Our walk was clockwise so going North first.

This would be a glorious walking area in Spring with the wildflowers in bloom but there are still a few little Autumn/Winter “treasures”
