Mystery Bay is a great central point to explore what some parts of this coast has to offer with coastal views that rival many better known places. To the North of the campground, in another section of the Eurobodalla National Park, is a walking trail of around 4km return to Billy’s Beach, Corunna Head and Loader’s Beach at the estuary of Olson’s Creek.

Billy’s Beach and Corunna: The locality of Corunna was the home of a major Recreation Ground for the area in the late 19th Century. In 1892 an oval cycling track (Velodrome as we now know it) was constructed using horses and shovels and is preserved today as a walking track; other facilities were built on the site which provided easy access to Loader’s Beach and Olson’s Creek.

    1. Good question Carolyn, I suppose it was the growth of other areas, it’s quite a fascinating spot to walk some of the old velodrome track
