We spent a week here at the August Moon Caravan Park and didn’t find any reason why we suffered power failure in our battery system. Did however upgrade the charging system in the Landcruiser to include a DC-DC charger for the auxiliary battery as we had some issues with that as well.
Caravan Park is now fairly quiet as the tropical tourist season is over, only a short time to the official start of the “Wet” season (Cyclones as well!).
Park here was well populated with Metallic Starlings as the video shows:
Across the road from the Caravan Park the sugar cane harvest was in full swing
Innisfail is a little inland of the junction of the North and South Johnstone Rivers and at the river mouth are the small settlements of Coquette Point on the South which has great views back to town as at the top of this post; across from here on the North side is Coconuts and a little further round the coast on the North side is Flying Fish Point
