Kwolyin is yet another WA town that is no longer here. Declared a townsite in 1912 and developed as a result of the railway construction; the hotel was burned down in 1995 and 20 years later the owners were charged with Fraud and Arson (2015); the loss of the Hotel was the end of the town as it remained and now very little remains .

The old Oval is now a campground provided by the Bruce Rock Shire with toilets, camp kitchen BBQs and picnic shelters. One Walking trail takes you around the townsite with several information panels where the Hotel, Store, Tennis Club, Golf Course, School, Hall and mechanic were located; the sole remaining building is the Catholic Church, built in 1956 and still used on a few occasions a year.
