Hall’s Falls is a sequence of several smaller waterfalls starting from a man made weir on the Groom River. This is the same river that forms the Southern boundary of the property we are house sitting and is only a few kilometres upstream in the Waratah Creek Forest Reserve.
The walking path is narrow but well formed and has a couple of minor detours which lead you to a Lookout with a first view of the falls upstream; then to the rock pools below the weir and finally to the weir itself. From these there are short paths to alternate viewing spots which give a different perspective of the river. The steps above are the final steep descent to the rock pool and elsewhere is a mixture of flat and moderate slope. Overall the walk taking in all the small diversions takes around an hour and a half.
