Our journey to Tennant Creek from Mt Isa comprised 8 days of free camping finally arriving at the Tennant Creek Caravan Park for the next 4 nights before moving southward again towards Alice Springs.
We are a little ahead of our preferred progress in Km terms which tries to keep the fuel expense budget under control and at $2.10/Litre it gets even trickier! Anyway, 4 days here and a leisurely run to Alice will get us back on track.
It was very interesting to discover that Tennant Creek has only existed since the 1930s as a result of Australia’s last Gold Rush (still some mining around here).

Tennant Creek
